Livestock Traders Create Traffic Chaos on Ghanaian Highway
Livestock Traders Block Highway in Ngleshie Amanfro, Ghana Ngleshie Amanfro, Ga South Municipality, Ghana – Livestock traders have taken over the bus stop along the main highway in Ngleshie Amanfro, creating significant traffic congestion. Cattle and sheep are regularly tied along the median, obstructing the flow of traffic. This ongoing issue persists despite assurances from the Ga South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Moses Kabu Kabi Ocansey, who previously promised to address the problem. "The situation is becoming unbearable," said one commuter who wished to remain anonymous. "The animals create a safety hazard, and it's very difficult to navigate the road." The video evidence clearly shows numerous animals obstructing the highway, creating a chaotic scene. The presence of the animals also raises concerns about hygiene and sanitation along the roadside. Efforts to reach MCE Moses Kabu Kabi Ocansey for comment were unsuccessful. However, the video provides compelling evidence of the ongoing issue and the need for immediate action to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic in Ngleshie Amanfro. The incident highlights the need for better regulation of livestock trading and urban planning in the area to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.
