This sudden cooling has left many beachgoers disappointed, with multiple comments on social media confirming the frigid conditions. One visitor noted, "Today, August 23, the water is like ice," while another mentioned, "We arrived on August 17 and caught wonderful weather and water. The last few days, unfortunately, the weather is letting us down." The upwelling event brings colder, deeper water to the surface, significantly impacting swimming conditions.
