Chilean Health Authority Shuts Down Supermarket for Sanitary Violations
A Chinese supermarket in Chile was recently shut down by the country's health authority, SEREMI, due to serious sanitary violations and non-compliance with food labeling regulations. Inspectors found numerous products without proper labeling, and some items displayed cartoon characters, which is illegal under Chilean law. The closure highlights the importance of food safety and accurate labeling in protecting consumers. SEREMI's actions underscore their commitment to upholding public health standards.
