Moldova Tightens Digital Security, Funds Regional Projects: Government Announces New Policies Moldova's Cabinet of Ministers recently announced key decisions impacting the country's digital security and regional development. The government will restrict access to websites containing information used for criminal activities, a move aimed at combating the spread of harmful content and protecting public safety. Minister Daniela Misail-Nichitin stated, "This measure responds to the need to combat the spread of information that can facilitate the commission of crimes, thus protecting public safety, public order, and the safety of citizens." Beyond digital security, the government also approved a significant funding program. 30 million lei will be allocated to 30 projects in localities within the Security Zone, and an additional 21.66 million lei will partially compensate farmers in the Dubossary region for their losses. Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, highlighted that approximately 5 million lei will be directed towards eight schools in areas not controlled by the Moldovan authorities, marking a record allocation for such programs. These decisions reflect Moldova's commitment to enhancing both its digital infrastructure and its regional stability.
