Bucharest, Romania – Ciprian Constantin Șerban, President of the Chamber of Deputies, has presented his strategic objectives for the Ministry of Transport following a favorable vote from the Transport Commission. Șerban outlined three key priorities during his address. Firstly, he emphasized the continuation of significant investments in large infrastructure projects, including highways, express roads, and modern railways. "My objective is to accelerate all active construction sites and open new ones," Șerban stated. He added, "Today, we have 1,200-1,300 kilometers of high-speed roads. We aim to reach the 1,500-kilometer mark by the end of this year." Secondly, Șerban highlighted the critical importance of maximizing the absorption of European funds. "My objective is simple: to attract 100% of available funds, without delays, without blockages, without unnecessary bureaucracy. This means rapid execution and transparency," he explained. Finally, the prospective Minister committed to reducing personnel expenses and increasing efficiency within the Ministry. "The Ministry of Transport must become leaner, more efficient, and more results-oriented. We will undertake reorganizations, mergers where necessary, and reduce administrative costs," Șerban affirmed. He concluded, "Every leu saved must go into investments, not into bureaucracy."
