

Car Plows into Liverpool Fans During Victory Parade; One Arrested
A car plowed into a crowd of Liverpool fans celebrating their Premier League victory on Saturday, May 26th, 2025, in Liverpool, England. Merseyside Police confirmed that a 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. Assistant Chief Constable Jennifer Sims stated, "We believe this to be an isolated incident. The incident is not being treated as terrorism." The North West Ambulance Service treated 27 patients at the scene, four of whom were children. Head of Service David Kitchin added, "Sadly, four of the injured were children who were enjoying the day with their friends and families. Twenty-seven patients in total were taken to hospital by ambulance, and we believe two of those, including one of the children, have sustained serious injuries." Liverpool Football Club issued a statement saying, "Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this serious incident." The incident occurred towards the end of the team's victory parade. While the investigation is ongoing, the swift response of emergency services and the community's support are commendable.
