High-Speed Chase Ends in Six-Vehicle Pileup on I-75
A high-speed chase in Montgomery County, Ohio, took a dramatic turn on June 5, 2025, when a white pickup truck, fleeing from police, caused a six-vehicle pileup on Interstate 75. The incident began with a police pursuit, during which the driver of the truck, described by law enforcement as a white male, repeatedly tossed large wooden boards from the truck bed onto the road. "He was trying to dump boards on us," an officer stated in the video. The truck, despite having its tires shredded by stop sticks, continued driving on its rims. The reckless actions ultimately led to a major collision on I-75, with the truck driving against oncoming traffic. "Multi-car crash, multi-car crash," a voice is heard saying on the video. Although the incident involved multiple vehicles and caused significant damage, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported that there were no life-threatening injuries. The four people in the truck attempted to flee on foot after the crash, but were apprehended and transported to area hospitals. The sheriff’s office confirmed that the crash investigation and related criminal investigation are ongoing.
