GUIZHOU, CHINA – An eight-year-old girl was successfully rescued from a sewer drain in Guizhou, China, after being trapped for seven hours following torrential rains. The incident, which occurred on June 23, saw firefighters from China's National Fire and Rescue Administration undertake a complex operation to extract the child. The girl was reportedly swept into the ditch by rapidly moving floodwaters. Video footage released by the administration shows rescue personnel accessing the sewer through a manhole and carefully pulling the girl out.
