Online 'Google Detective' Unravels Serbian Location Mystery from a TikTok Challenge
A popular online content creator, known as 'Coby Finds It,' recently garnered significant attention for successfully pinpointing the exact location of a TikTok user in Serbia after being challenged to do so. The challenge began with a short video posted by a man and a young boy, who dared Coby to find them. Coby, who specializes in identifying locations and products using digital tools, accepted the challenge. His investigative process involved a detailed analysis of the provided video footage. Key clues included a car's license plate, which displayed 'PA' at the beginning, a code Coby identified as unique to the Vojvodina region in Serbia. Further analysis revealed an oil refinery plant with a visible flare stack in the background, a common sight along highways in the region. Utilizing Google Maps and Street View, Coby systematically searched highways in Vojvodina, focusing on areas near oil refineries. After hours of cross-referencing landmarks, road layouts, nearby structures, and surrounding plants, he successfully matched the visual elements from the original video to a specific spot. Coby concluded that the individuals were standing approximately 1,000 meters from the refinery, providing precise coordinates in Starcevo, Vojvodina, Serbia. The successful resolution of the challenge has further cemented Coby's reputation as a skilled 'Google Detective' among his online followers.
