‘Don’t move. Don’t react’: Florida woman goes in Ulta to shop. Then the worker…
A woman had planned to film a haul of 'acne safe' products, but instead ended up shaken by what Ulta employees told her.
Tampa, FL – A routine shopping trip turned into a distressing experience for a local woman at an Ulta Beauty store in Tampa this week. The woman, who was planning to film a product haul, instead shared a cautionary tale after store employees informed her that a man had been following her for approximately 45 minutes. According to the woman's account, she was approached by staff at the checkout who advised her, "Don't move, don't react. The cops are coming to escort you. There's been a man that's been following you around for like 45 minutes." The staff reportedly revealed that the individual was a repeat offender, having been banned from the store multiple times but continuing to return. The woman described a "weird feeling" she had earlier in her shopping, recalling seeing a person near her, but dismissed it until the staff's warning. Expressing her shock and feelings of violation, she stated, "Honestly, I just feel like really violated and it's kind of like a horrible feeling." She highlighted the constant need for women to be hyper-aware of their surroundings, a burden she finds "really annoying." The incident serves as a stark reminder for shoppers to remain vigilant in public spaces. Police were called to the scene to ensure her safe departure from the store.
