Dairy Farmers Face Unfair Milk Prices, Calls for Consumer Support London, UK – A recent video highlights the plight of Müller Yew Tree dairy farmers, who reportedly faced unfair milk prices and were forced to discard their produce. According to a spokesperson for ConceptDairy, a platform supporting dairy farmers, some Müller Yew Tree farmers had to dump their milk for two two-week periods and were compensated at a rate of only 34 pence per litre. This contrasts sharply with other Müller farmers who are reportedly receiving around 42 pence per litre. “That is so unfair,” stated the spokesperson in the video, emphasizing the disparity in payment. The video underscores the severe impact on the agricultural sector, noting that an alarming rate of four dairy farmers are going out of business every three days. In response to these challenges, the spokesperson urged consumers to consider their purchasing decisions. “Please be careful what you put in your trolley and the companies you’re supporting to help those dairy farmers,” he advised, advocating for conscious consumer choices to support the struggling sector. The call to action aims to raise awareness and encourage public support for British dairy farmers.
