Romanian Enthusiast Upgrades Dacia Duster with Advanced Sound and Thermal Insulation for Enhanced Comfort
A Romanian car enthusiast, known as cosminmcs, is undertaking a significant upgrade to his Dacia Duster, focusing on enhancing interior comfort and reducing noise. In a recent video, the enthusiast unboxed specialized sound and thermal insulation materials, including vibro and fono layers, designed for the vehicle's roof. This initiative follows previous work by Edotec Romania, which handled the car's door insulation and audio system installation. The presenter demonstrated the current state of the Duster's roof, noting its metallic sound when tapped, which indicates a lack of proper insulation. The newly acquired materials are expected to mitigate road noise and help regulate the car's internal temperature, providing a more comfortable driving experience year-round. The project is part of broader preparations for what the owner refers to as an 'Africa-Dakar' adventure, suggesting a focus on rugged performance and long-distance travel.
