

Man Dies After Car Plunges into Ravine in Arefu; Vehicle Lacked Valid Documents
A tragic incident occurred in Arefu commune, Argeș County, where a 67-year-old man lost his life after the car he was a passenger in, driven by his son, veered off the road and fell into a ravine. Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle experienced a braking system malfunction. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the car did not possess a valid periodic technical inspection (ITP) or mandatory civil liability insurance (RCA). Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene. The victim, whose identity has not yet been fully released, was critically injured and was being transported by helicopter to a hospital in Bucharest. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries en route to the medical facility. Local police have initiated a criminal investigation into the incident, opening a case for culpable homicide.
