Karen Read Murder Retrial: Judge to Rule on Potential Delay

The retrial of Karen Read for the murder of Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe continues. Today’s court proceedings focused on testimony from the medical examiner, Dr. Sordy Bello, who detailed O’Keefe’s injuries, including blunt force trauma and hypothermia. However, the manner of death remains undetermined. When asked about injuries consistent with a motor vehicle accident, Dr. Bello responded, "I did examine his legs, and I did not see any evidence of an impact site." Outside the courthouse, the defendant, Karen Read, stated, "We don’t need a delay." The judge is expected to rule on a possible trial delay due to alleged late discovery by prosecutors.
