SPLIT, Croatia – As the newly revamped Znjan beach prepares for its grand opening, local residents are sharing their initial impressions and expectations for the popular coastal area. A recent street interview conducted by Dalmatinski portal captured diverse opinions on the transformation, with many comparing the current state to the beach's previous iteration. Many interviewees expressed satisfaction with the modern improvements, noting the enhanced spaces for recreation and gathering. One young man highlighted the addition of new facilities, stating, "They added cabanas, that's great." Another resident praised the cleanliness, remarking, "The sea is very clean, it's beautiful." However, some concerns were also voiced regarding the current amenities. Several individuals pointed out the absence of essential facilities. "First, I think toilets are missing," commented one man, adding, "and maybe more shade and more showers." Another woman echoed this sentiment, stating, "There are no toilets, but I think they are probably building them with all the stuff going on." The topic of pricing also came up, with residents speculating on the cost of everyday items like coffee. Estimates ranged from "3.60" to "three or four euros, or five," reflecting a general expectation of higher prices. One woman humorously noted, "I would like it to be cheaper, but I also think it will be between three and four euros, because prices have gone astronomically high." Overall, the sentiment appears to be a mix of appreciation for the new look and practical suggestions for further improvements as Znjan beach enters its new chapter.
