Football icon David Beckham recently revealed details about a surgical procedure on his arm, explaining it was related to an injury sustained 23 years ago during his playing career. Speaking from a football pitch, with his arm in a sling, Beckham clarified that the surgery was to remove a screw that had been inserted after he broke his arm while representing England in South Africa. He also mentioned the removal of a splinter that had been in his arm for approximately three years. "It's not as bad as it looks," Beckham stated, referring to his arm sling. "I had surgery a couple of days ago. I broke my arm, if you remember, 23 years ago playing for England in South Africa. I had a screw put in. The screw needed to be taken out, and a couple of days ago I had it, well, kind of taken out. And then I also got a splinter that I had in there for about three years, so I had that done at the same time." He added, "It's all good, I should be out of this sling in the next two days hopefully." Beckham's comments shed light on a long-standing issue, connecting his current health to a significant moment in his illustrious football career.
