Málaga Police Mourn Fallen Officer Killed in Robbery

Málaga mourns the loss of Subinspector Antonio Ramos Pérez, a 48-year-old officer who died in the line of duty early Thursday morning. The tragic incident occurred in Torremolinos when Ramos Pérez's vehicle collided with a speeding car driven by a group of robbers. Fellow officers from 'Los Gotham' unit paid their respects, carrying his coffin, draped in the Spanish flag, to the Provincial Police Station where a wake was held. More than 100 officers formed a guard of honor. A colleague who worked with Ramos Pérez described him as "a dedicated officer and a good man." The Ministry of the Interior awarded Ramos Pérez the red medal for merit. His death serves as a stark reminder of the risks faced by law enforcement officers daily.
