Madrid, Spain – As summer heatwaves intensify across Europe, one Spanish campervan enthusiast, known online as DJ BACARDIT, has shared his innovative solutions for staying cool on the road. Facing temperatures exceeding 40°C, DJ BACARDIT has transformed his small campervan into a comfortable, climate-controlled living space. In a recent video, he showcased a series of modifications designed to combat the sweltering heat. Key among these is a ceiling-mounted fan, complemented by additional portable fans strategically placed to maximize airflow. The most significant upgrade is a custom-installed air conditioning unit, which he states provides a constant stream of cool air. Beyond temperature control, DJ BACARDIT has optimized his van for daily living. He demonstrated a compact refrigerator, essential for keeping drinks chilled, and a microwave, powered directly by the vehicle's batteries, for convenient meal preparation. Storage solutions include a repurposed chest of drawers from an old house, ingeniously secured with straps to prevent movement while driving, providing space for cutlery and other essentials. "I've slept almost every day this summer in this van, even in extreme temperatures," he stated in his video, emphasizing the effectiveness of his modifications. His practical approach offers valuable insights for other campervan owners looking to enhance their vehicles for comfort in challenging climates.
