Zagreb Residents Speak Out: Traffic Jams Top List of City Concerns
Zagreb Residents Voice Concerns Over Trash and Traffic: A DNEVNIK.hr Street Survey Zagreb, Croatia – In a recent survey conducted by DNEVNIK.hr, Zagreb residents expressed varied concerns about the city's infrastructure and quality of life. The informal poll, captured on video and shared across social media, focused on four key areas: waste management, traffic congestion, public transportation, and housing affordability. Many interviewees prioritized the alleviation of traffic jams. "Gužve," or traffic jams, was the most common response, indicating a widespread frustration with daily commutes. One young man interviewed stated, "Prilično oboje, ali rekao bih gužve," which translates to, "Both, really, but I'd say traffic jams." This sentiment reflects a common experience for many city dwellers. However, the survey also highlighted other pressing needs, including improved waste management and more affordable housing. The video shows a balanced approach, presenting the diverse opinions of Zagrebians, and suggests a need for comprehensive solutions to address these interconnected challenges.
