Marinette, WI – Local diver, known as 'Ed the Diver,' recently completed a productive cleanup dive in the Menominee River, recovering a significant haul of discarded fishing lures and other debris. In a video shared on April 16, 2025, the diver showcased a large, tangled mass of colorful fishing lures, along with items such as golf balls, an old Coca-Cola bottle, a button, and a tape measure. "I just did a short 15-20 minute dive in the Menominee River," Ed stated in his video, displaying his finds. "Most of the stuff was found in the last five minutes of diving." He expressed satisfaction with the quick, impactful cleanup, noting he was "super glad I found it." All collected items were deposited into a pink bucket bearing the message, "HELP KEEP OUR WATERWAYS CLEAN!" The effort underscores the ongoing need for environmental stewardship in local waterways.
