Varios ayuntamientos denuncian el estado de la carretera A-407
Tras meses sin respuesta por parte de la Junta de Andalucía, los ediles han convocado el corte al tráfico de algún punto de la vía
Andalusian Mayors Demand Road Repairs After Repeated Appeals Fail The mayors of Fuentes de Andalucía, Lantejuela, and Osuna in Andalusia, Spain, are demanding urgent repairs to the severely damaged A-407 highway. The road, vital for local businesses and residents, is riddled with cracks and potholes, creating safety hazards. "This road is in a state of disrepair," stated Francisco J. Martinez, Mayor of Fuentes de Andalucía. "It's not just unsightly; it's dangerous." The mayors claim they have repeatedly contacted regional authorities, including the Consejera (Councilor), requesting repairs. However, their requests have been ignored, with only the Vice-Councilor responding and promising a study in the first trimester of 2025. Rosario Andújar, Mayor of Osuna, added, "We've exhausted all avenues of communication. We can't wait any longer." A joint protest is planned for June 4th at kilometer 18.300 of the A-407, where the mayors will call on the Junta de Andalucía (Andalusian regional government) to take immediate action. The mayors hope to demonstrate the severity of the situation and secure the necessary funding for road repairs, ensuring the safety and economic well-being of their communities.
