Mexico Launches New Social Program: 3,000 Pesos Bimonthly Support for Women Under 65 Mexico City – A new social program, part of the broader Pensión Bienestar initiative, will provide financial assistance to women under 65 years old. The program, announced recently, will offer a bimonthly payment of 3,000 pesos. Registration will open nationwide on August 4th. Ariadna Montiel, Secretary of Welfare, stated that President Claudia Sheinbaum's decision to expedite the registration process reflects a commitment to social justice and recognition of the often-unpaid work done by women. "This is a step toward recognizing the crucial role women play in our society," Montiel explained. To register, women need to present their INE or passport, birth certificate, CURP, and a recent proof of address. Registration will take place at modules whose locations can be found on the Ministry of Welfare's website.
