Mexico's New 3,000-Peso Support for Women: Registration Opens August 4th
Mexico Launches New Social Program: 3,000 Pesos Bimonthly Support for Women Under 65 Mexico City – A new social program, part of the broader Pensión Bienestar initiative, will provide financial assistance to women under 65 years old. The program, announced recently, will offer a bimonthly payment of 3,000 pesos. Registration will open nationwide on August 4th. Ariadna Montiel, Secretary of Welfare, stated that President Claudia Sheinbaum's decision to expedite the registration process reflects a commitment to social justice and recognition of the often-unpaid work done by women. "This is a step toward recognizing the crucial role women play in our society," Montiel explained. To register, women need to present their INE or passport, birth certificate, CURP, and a recent proof of address. Registration will take place at modules whose locations can be found on the Ministry of Welfare's website. This initiative is expected to significantly impact the lives of many women across Mexico, providing much-needed financial support and highlighting the government's dedication to social welfare.
