Mexico City to Expand Public Transportation with New Trolleybus Line Mexico City and the State of Mexico are set to improve public transport infrastructure with the addition of a new trolleybus line. This project, announced by Secretary of Mobility Daniel Sibaja, will connect the eastern region of Edomex with Mexico City. Construction is slated to begin this year, according to Sibaja. "This is a new trolleybus," Sibaja stated, emphasizing the project's importance. "It's a fully integrated project; the eastern area will soon have a trolleybus network." The ambitious project will involve collaboration between Banobras and federal, state, and municipal authorities. The new line will complement existing trolleybus routes and the expansion of Metro Line III, strengthening the state government's commitment to a safer, more efficient, and sustainable transportation system. The initiative reflects a broader effort to address the transportation needs of the growing population in the region, offering a more reliable and environmentally friendly alternative to private vehicles.
