Mercedes Unveils the Intelligent New CLA: Electric Power and Cutting-Edge Tech
Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled its latest innovation, the new Mercedes CLA, touted by the brand as its most intelligent vehicle to date. The sleek, blue model showcased features a distinctive coupe-like silhouette, a design choice that emphasizes its sporty appeal. A notable exterior detail is the unique front grille, adorned with 142 illuminated stars, complementing the star-shaped headlights found both at the front and rear of the vehicle. Under the hood, the new CLA offers diverse powertrain options. Two electric variants are available: the CLA 250 Plus, featuring a 200 kW (272 HP) rear motor, and the more powerful CLA 350 4MATIC, equipped with a dual-motor setup delivering 354 HP. Both electric models boast an 85 kWh battery with an 800-volt architecture, enabling ultra-fast charging up to 320 kW, which can add over 300 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes. The CLA 250 Plus specifically achieves a WLTP autonomy of nearly 800 kilometers. For those preferring a hybrid option, a plug-in hybrid version combines a 1.3-liter turbo engine with a 20 kW electric motor, capable of emission-free driving up to 100 km/h. Inside, the new CLA impresses with its advanced "Superscreen" infotainment system. This expansive display includes a 10.25-inch instrument cluster for the driver and a 14-inch central screen. An optional additional 14-inch screen is available for the passenger. The system seamlessly integrates Google Maps, AI-powered voice assistants, and an advanced MB Drive security system, enhancing both connectivity and safety. The new Mercedes CLA is set to enter the market with a starting price of 54,710 Euros, offering a blend of performance, technology, and sophisticated design.
