Santo Domingo Este Hosts Fourth "More Health and Well-being" Event Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic – The Ministry of Public Health held its fourth "More Health and Well-being" event today at the Parroquia San Vicente de Paul Polytechnic. This initiative, spearheaded by Minister Victor Atallah, aims to improve community health and prevent chronic illnesses. Gina Estrella, the Vice Minister of Risk Management of Public Health, explained the program's scope: "It's a program where we provide care, but also promotion, education, and encouragement to communities to lead healthier lives and avoid chronic diseases." The program offers more than 25 services, including general medical consultations, cardiometabolic evaluations, and health screenings. The event drew a large crowd, signifying the community's engagement with health initiatives. Estrella highlighted the program's inclusivity, stating, "This is a gateway to primary care, a way for you to learn about your health condition. It's completely free." The program also includes access to essential medications and health education resources.
