The technique involves using a simple tissue or paper towel as a guide, held taut against the lower lash line, to create a precise upward angle for eyeshadow application. Taylor then applies a dark brown eyeshadow to the outer corner of the eye, blending it along the tissue's edge to achieve a lifted effect. "If your flap is getting in the way of eyeliner, we're going to do a shadow lift," Taylor explains in the video. "I prefer this over tape because I don't want to pull the eye."
