Psychologist Reveals How Everyday Home Activities Boost Children's Development
Bucharest, Romania – Psychologist Tatiana Barbaros, founder of Centrul Viart, recently shared valuable insights on the "Erou pentru copii" podcast with host Marius Gheorghiu, emphasizing the critical role of both extracurricular and everyday home activities in a child's harmonious development. During the discussion, Barbaros highlighted that even seemingly simple tasks, such as cooking together or engaging in household chores like vacuuming, can significantly contribute to a child's fine and gross motor skills. "Anything I do as a person in the house, taking them with me to the kitchen to prepare meals together, they really like it and it develops their fine motor skills," Barbaros stated. She also advocated for outdoor activities like cycling, underscoring that the home environment is a highly conducive space for a child's comprehensive development across all aspects. The psychologist stressed the importance of parents actively participating in these activities alongside their children, suggesting that shared experiences and movement within the home are key to fostering growth.
