Cadiz, Spain – A recent social experiment conducted by vlogger Estoesdelocos_ has put the cleanliness of Cadiz to the test, literally. The vlogger embarked on a three-hour walk through the city's diverse landscapes, from its scenic waterfront to its historic heart, all while wearing a fresh pair of white socks. The aim? To visually assess the city's cleanliness based on the state of his footwear. The journey began along the city's clean boardwalk, leading to a surprisingly tidy shopping center, where the vlogger noted the absence of significant litter, save for a few discarded chewing gums. Moving into the bustling historic center and around the majestic cathedral, an area frequented by countless tourists, the vlogger found the cleanliness to be "quite decent," despite the high foot traffic. However, as the experiment continued, the vlogger's observations varied. The city's main beach, a popular spot for sunsets, was noted as "a bit less clean" due to the crowds. A subsequent stroll through a beautiful park revealed a lack of trash but an overall "somewhat abandoned" feel, with the uneven paving causing discomfort. The final stop, the city's central market, involved navigating several puddles, which the vlogger attributed to floor cleaning. Upon concluding his extensive walk, the vlogger revealed his socks, now visibly soiled. Despite his initial expectation for a cleaner outcome given the perceived lack of visible trash, the experiment highlighted that even in a city considered "the cleanest in Andalusia" by some rankings, the ground accumulates dirt. He humorously advised future visitors to Cadiz against walking barefoot. The video has since garnered significant attention, prompting discussions among residents and tourists about urban cleanliness standards.
