Peruvian Workers Await July 2025 Gratification: Key Details on Eligibility and Payment

Lima, Peru – Formal private sector workers in Peru are set to receive their July 2025 gratification benefit, a crucial economic support ahead of the national holidays. According to Law N°27735, eligible employees are entitled to an additional full month's salary, along with a 9% bonus for EsSalud, provided they are affiliated with the health service. This benefit applies to workers with indefinite, fixed-term, or part-time contracts, without requiring a minimum working day. However, not all workers qualify. Independent contractors, interns, trainees, employees under the RIA regime, and those hired by microenterprises before their registration in the Remype system are excluded from receiving the full gratification. For those who have worked less than six months, a proportional amount of the benefit will be disbursed. Additionally, microenterprises have the option to pay only 50% of the gratification. Employers are mandated to complete the payment of this labor benefit by July 15, 2025.
