The directors Danny and Michael Phillippou shared details about the filming of a scene from their new horror movie "Bring Her Back." The film features a visually impaired character, Piper, played by Sora Wang. The directors emphasized the role of sound design in creating Piper's perspective and the importance of the collaboration with Sally Hawkins, who plays Laura, Piper's mother. "Sound was a very important factor of this film," said Danny Phillippou, explaining how they used close-ups of Piper's hands and an elevated soundscape. The scene also includes a taxidermied dog, which adds an unusual element to the narrative. The movie is set to premiere in theaters on May 30th.
