Family of Three Found Dead in Apparent Katy Murder-Suicide
Katy, Texas, was struck by tragedy on Saturday as a family of three—a married couple and their young son—were found dead in their apartment. Harris County Sheriff's officials are investigating the incident as a possible murder-suicide. FOX 26 reporter Jonathan Mejia was on the scene and reported that a 43-year-old woman and a 7-year-old child were found deceased inside their two-story unit. A 42-year-old man, initially transported to a hospital, was pronounced dead upon arrival. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the adult male had been experiencing mental health issues, including depression and unemployment. "It's our understanding that there may have been some growing mental health issues, specifically some depression lately," Gonzalez said. The couple's 19-year-old daughter and her boyfriend, who were in a separate room at the time, were unharmed. The incident highlights the ongoing issue of mental health and its devastating consequences. The Harris County Sheriff's office reported no previous calls to the residence.
