White House Confirms Probe into Iran Intel Leak, Cites Success of US Strikes
Washington D.C. - White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced today that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice are actively investigating a leaked intelligence report regarding Iran's nuclear capabilities. The leak follows recent U.S. strikes targeting Iranian facilities. Speaking from the White House, Leavitt described the leaked information as "top-secret intelligence analysis that very few people in the United States government had access to." She affirmed that the investigation is proceeding "as they should be." Regarding the impact of the U.S. military operations, Leavitt stated, "It doesn't take an intelligence analysis to understand that means complete and total destruction and obliteration." She emphasized that the President's decisive leadership in directing the Saturday night operation has achieved a long-standing goal: "the obliteration of the capability of the Iranian regime to possess a nuclear weapon." Leavitt also addressed claims that enriched uranium was moved prior to the strikes, stating, "The United States had no indication that that enriched uranium was moved prior to the strikes, as I also saw falsely reported." She concluded by highlighting the precision of the U.S. military, asserting, "The United States military hit their targets precisely, perfectly and accurately, and we know what that means."
