Alligator Takes an Unexpected Dip in Eastern Texas Backyard Pool, Rescued by First Responders

Eastern Texas, June 26, 2025 – First responders in eastern Texas were called to a unique situation today when an alligator was discovered in a backyard swimming pool. The incident, captured on video, shows a police officer and another individual working together to safely remove the reptile. Using a long pole with a net, the responders carefully maneuvered the alligator. The animal, estimated to be several feet long, put up a vigorous struggle, splashing water as it resisted the extraction. Despite the challenge, the team successfully guided the alligator out of the pool and onto the surrounding patio. “He’s strong!” one of the individuals can be heard saying as they worked to control the alligator. Once out of the water, discussions turned to how to further secure the animal before its relocation. The quick and effective response ensured the safety of both the residents and the alligator.
