An Italian man, Valerio, who relocated from Turin, Italy, to the small Polish village of Konorzatka (population 135) in October 2020, has shared insights into his new life, highlighting a shift towards a more tranquil existence away from urban centers. Valerio, who works at a butter distribution center, reported a monthly income ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 Polish Zloty (PLN). He indicated that this income provides a comfortable living, especially for a single individual, and allows for some savings for families. The decision to move was prompted by meeting his wife, who resided nearby. He noted a significant increase in property values in the area, with houses that cost 100,000-120,000 PLN in 2021 now fetching between 400,000 and 450,000 PLN. Valerio expressed no desire to return to Italy, stating that life in the village offers a much calmer routine compared to his previous experience in Turin, where he felt life was a constant, unchanged routine. He emphasized the satisfaction of returning home to his own land, where he can relax and play with his children.
