Five Years of Harassment: Brazilian Veterinarian's Ordeal Ends in Dismissal
In Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil, a veterinarian named Giovana Nantes Giacomini has endured five years of relentless harassment from her 76-year-old neighbor, José Vicente Tezza. The ordeal began in 2020 when Giacomini purchased a house and established a veterinary clinic. Tezza's actions escalated over time, including repeatedly cutting the electric fence, destroying security cameras, and even using firecrackers to damage the property. "Twelve times he cut my fence," Giacomini recounted. The police were eventually involved, but the case ultimately concluded in 2022 with the charges against Tezza being dismissed due to his age and Brazilian laws regarding the statute of limitations for individuals over 70. Despite the legal closure, the video serves as a stark reminder of the impact of prolonged harassment and the need for more robust community support for victims.
