She initially refused to take a breathalyzer test and reacted aggressively, shouting and becoming agitated. One officer stated, "She was very agitated and tried to bite the device." After being informed that refusal would result in a fine and vehicle impoundment, she agreed to the test, which showed no alcohol consumption. The woman was released.
