Mystery Surrounds Death of Businessman Found in Hole at Interlagos Racetrack
A 35-year-old businessman, Adalberto Amarilio dos Santos Junior, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the Autódromo de Interlagos in São Paulo, Brazil. His body was discovered in a three-meter-deep hole at a construction site within the racetrack complex. According to police reports, there were no visible signs of violence or blood on the body. His personal belongings, including his helmet, wallet, and cell phone, were found near the body. Adalberto had been missing since Friday. "We are investigating this as a suspicious death," stated a police spokesperson, "and are exploring all possible scenarios." Security camera footage obtained by the SP2 news program shows Adalberto arriving at the racetrack alone on Friday afternoon. However, there is no footage of him leaving the premises. His wife, Fernanda Dândalo, reported him missing after he failed to return home Friday night. A friend who attended the same motorcycle event confirmed that Adalberto said he would walk around the track to get his car from the kart track's parking lot. The investigation is ongoing. The city of Sao Paulo has temporarily suspended construction at the site until the investigation is complete.
