GoPro Footage Surfaces in São Paulo Businessman's Mysterious Death
São Paulo businessman Adalberto Amarilio dos Santos Junior, 35, was found dead on Tuesday, June 3, in a construction site at the Interlagos Racetrack in São Paulo's Zona Sul. Hours before his disappearance, he recorded a video on his helmet-mounted GoPro, showing him riding a motorcycle and joking with friends. "E aí, seus lentos," he says in the video. "Hoje é motoca, não é kart." The camera, however, was missing when his body was recovered. His friend, Sidney Santiago, told reporters, "He was a really cool guy, full of life, a marvelous person. Everyone who knew Junior liked him; it was impossible not to like him." Police are treating the case as suspicious death and are investigating. The video's existence adds a compelling layer to the ongoing investigation. The police are also searching for his pants and sneakers. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at Parque das Graças in Santana do Parnaíba.
