Drug Trafficker Arrested After Throwing Evidence Out Window
A drug trafficker's arrest in Rio de Janeiro's Barra da Tijuca has sent shockwaves through the city. Mateus Miranda, identified by police as a local drug trafficker, was apprehended last Friday in a luxury condominium. The arrest unfolded dramatically when Miranda attempted to dispose of a package of hashish by throwing it out the window as police approached. However, a police officer positioned outside the building managed to capture the entire incident on video. "The video clearly shows the evidence," stated a police spokesperson. The investigation also revealed Miranda's involvement in a car chassis alteration scheme with his roommate, Pedro Vasconcellos do Amaral Sodré de Mello. Both were arrested and are now facing charges. This case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in combating drug trafficking and organized crime.
