Galicia Streamlines School Enrollment with New Mobile App
Galicia Launches Mobile School Enrollment App, Easing Burden on Schools and Families Galicia, Spain, has introduced a new mobile application designed to simplify the school enrollment process for families. The app, developed by the Axencia para a Modernización Tecnolóxica de Galicia (Amtega), allows parents and guardians to complete the enrollment process digitally, eliminating much of the paperwork and in-person visits previously required. This initiative aims to reduce the administrative workload on schools and make the enrollment process more efficient and user-friendly. "This application significantly simplifies an administrative process that often takes up considerable time and generates stress," explained Román Rodríguez, Galicia's Education Minister, in a recent press conference. "It's about making life easier for families while also alleviating the burden on our schools." The app is accessible through any web browser and is optimized for mobile devices. However, traditional in-person enrollment remains available for those who prefer it. The enrollment period for primary and secondary schools will run from June 20th to July 7th. The app utilizes Chave365 or digital certificates for user identification and pre-populates personal data from the admission phase. This new system allows families to provide information and documentation such as transportation preferences, lunch choices, and student photo authorizations online. The digital platform also facilitates the submission of required documents, such as copies of ID cards and health insurance cards. The initiative reflects Galicia's commitment to modernizing its education system and improving the experience for both families and educational institutions.
