The Xunta de Galicia announced a record-breaking 49,164 training spots, a 2,500 increase from the previous year. One of the key features of this expansion is the introduction of an accelerated training program. This program will offer nearly 1,000 spots across 44 groups in various training centers. The accelerated courses, lasting between four and six months, will focus on high-demand sectors such as hospitality, the automotive industry, and renewable energies. President Alfonso Rueda highlighted this initiative as a crucial step in meeting the needs of both students and businesses. "The offer is the most extensive in history," Rueda stated, emphasizing the government's commitment to equipping Galician citizens with the skills needed for the modern job market. The program also includes an expansion of basic adapted FP, designed to support students facing challenges and prevent school dropout. This pilot program will initially focus on commerce training in Vigo.
