Ourense, a city in Galicia, Spain, has reported the lowest driving test pass rate in the region. In 2024, only 40% of practical driving tests were passed, compared to the regional average of 49%. Luis Novoa, President of the Ourense Driving Schools Association, explains: "The route is mostly urban, with complex routes and many exam points." Despite this, Ourense boasts one of the highest theoretical pass rates at 57%. One test-taker, commenting on her experience, stated, "The theoretical part was easy, but the practical test was quite difficult." This contrast highlights the unique challenges of driving tests in Ourense.
