The operation, codenamed 'Copernicus' by authorities, uncovered over 3 kilograms of heroin, 700 grams of cocaine, and 300 grams of hashish, along with 17,500 euros in cash. Six of those arrested have been remanded in preventative prison. "This is one of the most important operations against drug trafficking in Galicia in recent years," stated a spokesperson for the National Police. The operation targeted a network involved in the small-scale distribution of drugs in the city. Pedro Pacheco, the superior chief of the National Police in Galicia, highlighted the significant amount of heroin seized, estimating it to be between 80,000 and 100,000 doses.
