The gardener is testing the efficacy of VapoRub, a common over-the-counter topical ointment, as a deterrent against these notorious garden pests.In a video uploaded on September 27, 2024, the gardener demonstrated applying VapoRub with a cotton bud along the wooden edges of her raised beds and onto bamboo canes placed near her seedlings. "I have seen some people across the internet using VapoRub as a deterrent for slugs, so I thought I'd give it a go," she explained in the video.
