
Niš House Fire Leaves Family of Six Severely Injured
A family of six was severely injured in a house fire that broke out in Niš, Serbia, in the early hours of May 31st. The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 AM on Stočni trg 19. Two adults and four children were found unconscious or in comas, suffering from severe smoke inhalation and burns. Neighbors witnessed the fire and acted swiftly to rescue the family members, breaking windows to gain access to the burning house. One neighbor, Sali Ibrahimović, recounted the events, stating, "One by one, we carried out the children." Emergency services, including firefighters and police, responded to the scene. All six victims were immediately hospitalized. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
