
Niš to Get New 70 Million Euro Maternity Hospital
Niš, Serbia – June 2, 2025 – The city of Niš is set to receive a substantial upgrade to its healthcare infrastructure with the announcement of a new maternity hospital. The project, valued at 70 million euros, will encompass a 20,000-square-meter facility designed to serve approximately 2 million residents of the surrounding region. Construction is anticipated to commence in early 2026, with completion projected for summer 2028. The Minister for Public Investments, Darko Glišić, made the announcement during a press conference in Niš, highlighting the project's significance for the region's healthcare system. "This is a significant investment that will improve the quality of life," Glišić stated. The new hospital will not only provide modern facilities for expectant mothers and newborns but also contribute to the overall economic development of Niš.
