Manila Police Arrest Former Cellmates for Scooter Theft Two former cellmates were recently arrested in Manila for allegedly stealing a scooter. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, which shows two individuals taking the scooter. One of the suspects, in an interview, claimed he only set aside the key and did not intend to steal the vehicle. "Itinabi ko lang po yung susi. Hindi ko po intensyong ibenta," the suspect stated. (I just set aside the key. I didn't intend to sell it.) The tricycle driver who witnessed the event reported the incident to authorities. Police are investigating the case further. The recovered scooter, valued at 25,000 pesos, is now evidence in the ongoing investigation. The suspects face charges under Republic Act No. 10883, the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
