GMA Network Maintains Top Spot in Philippine Media, Despite Economic Challenges GMA Network solidified its position as the leading media company in the Philippines in 2024, according to data presented at their annual stockholders' meeting. The network's dominance extended across television, digital platforms, and radio, showcasing resilience amidst economic uncertainty. Nielsen's National Urban TV Audience Measurement showed GMA with an average rating of 5.1, significantly outpacing competitors TV5 (1.9) and GTV (1.2). This dominance continued in the national ratings, with GMA achieving a 4.7 rating compared to TV5's 1.7 and GTV's 1.1. "We retained our position as the convincingly dominant TV broadcast network in the country," stated Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., President & CEO of GMA Network. GMA's digital presence also proved robust. Tubular Labs data revealed GMA's official accounts across Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok garnered a combined 45.5 billion views in 2024. Furthermore, the network experienced a 14% year-end increase in total subscribers, followers, and users, along with a 14% rise in digital revenue (reaching 206 million pesos). The network's success is a testament to their strong programming and strategic digital expansion.
