
P2 Million Shabu Seized in Antipolo Drug Bust
Antipolo Drug Bust Nets Over P2 Million in Shabu Antipolo City, Rizal – In a significant anti-drug operation, authorities in Antipolo City seized over P2 million worth of suspected shabu. The operation, conducted in Barangay San Roque, resulted in the arrest of a high-value target identified only as "Unyo." Police reports indicate that the suspect was selling shabu to an undercover officer. PCOL. Felipe Maraggun, Provincial Director of the Rizal Police Office, stated, "It took about two weeks since the arrest of his immediate handler to conduct this follow-up operation." The suspect, who has previous arrests for illegal drugs in 2019 and 2022, is currently on probation. Six packages of suspected shabu, weighing over 310 grams, were recovered. The investigation suggests the suspect's supply originated in Metro Manila. "Unyo" is now facing charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He briefly stated to reporters, "I was just eating, ma'am, we were just eating in that place." This case highlights the ongoing fight against illegal drugs in the Philippines.
