The operation, conducted on May 28, 2025, led to the arrest of a high-value target identified only as "Alias Unio." Police reports indicate that Unio has been arrested on similar charges in 2019 and 2022. The buy-bust operation took place in a dimly lit area of Barangay San Roque. Police posed as buyers, successfully apprehending Unio and confiscating six packets of shabu weighing over 310 grams. "The suspect is one of our high-value targets," stated Police Colonel Felipe B. Maraggun, Provincial Director of the Rizal Provincial Police Office. "This was a follow-up operation based on details we received." During questioning, Unio offered little information, stating only that he was "just eating" at the location. Further investigation points to the source of the drugs being in Metro Manila. Unio is now facing charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of Antipolo City police to combat the illegal drug trade. The arrest of a known high-value target is a significant step in disrupting drug trafficking networks in the region.
